The Pumpkin Spice Latte is a Dangerous Drink
This drink has gained immense popularity over the last few years, becoming a meme of its own in many respects. It’s also faced a lot of backlash, with VICE even dedicating a whole article to slandering the drink recently.
Look, we’re not in any place to question your taste in drinks, but we want to weigh in on the conversation to tell you that the pumpkin spice latte, as delicious as it may be, is an awful choice if you’re trying to lose weight.
This is because the drink is bursting with almost everything but pumpkin. A 16oz Pumpkin Spice Latte with regular whole milk and whipped cream, as most people have it, packs an astonishing 420 calories, 160 of which are fat calories. To make matters worse, the drink also has 52 grams of carbohydrates, and 50 grams of sugar.
