4 Great Fruits to Eat for Weight Loss

“Eat your fruits and vegetables!” You probably heard that from your parents all the time growing up. You may even say it to your kids now. Unlike a lot of things parents tell their kids (hello Santa Claus!) though, this one is backed up by fact. The World Health Organization has found that eating 400 grams (five 80-gram portions) of fruits and vegetables each day will help to lower the risk of serious health problems. Certain fruits will also help with weight loss. Here are a few of them.
Apples for Weight Loss

Speaking of things parents say to kids, you’ve probably heard an apple a day can keep the doctor away. But it can keep the weight away too. A study published in the Nutrition Journal found that eating an apple or a pear before a meal led to substantial weight loss for the people in the study. The report also found that eating apples can help reduce the risk of diabetes, which will be very helpful if you’re already substantially overweight.
Watermelon for Weight Loss

Watermelons are over 90 per cent water. This means it’s an amazing fruit to eat if you’re trying to lose weight, as most of the mass will just pass through you. A 100 gram portion of watermelon also contains just 30 calories, meaning if you have five 80 gram portions of it, as the WHO recommends, you’d be consuming just 120 calories per day. Watermelon is also objectively delicious!
