Hair loss is a constant source of dread for many of us, and actually going through it can be terrifying. There’s not much you can do to hide a mass flight of hair from head, but still, it’s not as bad as it seems. This is because there aren’t as many things you do that can cause you to lose hair as you might think. In fact, most of the things that supposedly cause you to lose your hair are actually not true. Wearing Hats Causes Hair Loss
This myth is everywhere. The idea is that if you wear a hat for too long, you’ll lose hair because the lack of air will kill hair follicles. This is actually not true, as there’s currently no evidence suggesting that wearing a hat will cause you to experience hair loss any earlier than it would have already happened. This point is important, because you’re probably thinking of someone who always wears hats and ended up losing their hair pretty young. The fact is, they’ve been wearing a hat to cover the hair loss; the hat didn’t cause it.
